Hey all, I've been getting back into the swing of things. I've been taking a break for a while since July since I have been recovering from a very serious overdose that resulted in amnesia, kidney problems, heart problems, and substantial liver damage. I've been in an out of treatment since then and have been making progress in my recovery.
Some new things going on - My brother is graduating from his Navy medic school in a month and will be home after flying to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Shortly before he returns home, I will be getting word back on whether or not I passed my audition for a virtual choir at the Disney park in Anaheim, CA. If it passes then I will be one of five hundred who will be a part of the World of Color show. Speaking of auditions, I have been preparing for my auditions for Cirque du Soleil next year. I will be flying to Montreal to try out to be a contemporary clown. I have yet to find my personality as a clown, but I have plenty of time to perfect my routine.
Shortly before I ended up in the ICU, I traveled to Chicago to be there for my brther's bootcamp graduation. The ceremony was absolutely amazing and I jumped up and down excitedly like the girliest girl of all time when my brother's division marched past us. After they called liberty, I ran down the bleachers (not the aisle, I mean the actual seats, and being in the back row I almost tripped and face planted several times) and threw my arms around him. My favorite moment was when he saw my tattoo of him for the first time. We spent less than a day with him before meeting him at the O'Hare airport and watching him board his flight. He's been gone since then and still doesn't know about the overdose. I'm amazed that, since I talk to him so often, nothing has come up that has challenged my memory (which is - as far as I know - back to what it was).
Oh, and I'm turning 22 in a week! Woot!
